What will I need to complete the live assessment?You’ll need access to a device with a camera and microphone, and you must demonstrate two intramuscular injections on a supervising pharmacist during the virtual session.

Is this course accredited?Yes. The course is ACPE-accredited and follows CDC guidelines and HHS requirements, ensuring it meets national standards for immunization training.

Will I receive a certificate upon completion?Yes. Upon successful completion of the home-study modules, exam, and live virtual assessment, you will receive an official certificate of completion.

How long is the training?The course is 6 hours total—4 hours of self-paced home study and a 2-hour live virtual workshop with a licensed pharmacist.

Can I take this course if I live outside of Colorado?Yes! The course is offered fully online and open to pharmacy technicians in most U.S. states. However, please check your state’s regulations regarding pharmacy technician immunization authority.

Will I be licensed after finishing the program?While the course prepares you for national certification, some states require you to apply separately for a pharmacy technician license. Our team will guide you through the licensing process based on your state requirements.

Which pharmacy technician certifications does this program prepare me for?Pharmakeia prepares you to take both the PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) exam and the NHA’s ExCPT exam—two nationally recognized certifications in the pharmacy field.

Is the program online or in person?We offer both formats. You can attend fully online from anywhere or in person if you live in Colorado. All students, regardless of location, complete an in-person externship after completing coursework.

Does the tuition cover certification?Yes. Your tuition includes a one-time PTCB or NHA certification exam.
